Summer School of Migration Sociology 2024
The Summer School of Migration Sociology is aimed at young researchers, doctors and research PhDs, operators of public bodies, unions, non-profit associations and, in general, all those who have specific interests in the field of migration. During the school, spaces will be provided for discussion and comparison among the participants. At the end of the school, a participation certificate will be issued.
The ERC SOLROUTES project and MOBS project are organizing a panel at the 19th edition of the Summer School of Migration Sociology in Genoa to be held in Genoa from June 24 to June 28, 2024. Registrations are open until May 15, 2024.
On Thursday, June 27, at 14:30, a unique opportunity awaits you at the Summer School. A panel discussion, led by the PI of the SolRoutes project, Luca Queirolo, will feature experts in the field such as Rassa Ghaffari, Enrico Fravega from Solroutes, and Ivan Bonnin from MOBS. The discussion, centered around the theme of “Mediterranean: Solidarity, Digital Infrastructures, Imaginaries,” promises to provide deep insights into the multifaceted aspects of migration in the Mediterranean region, the role of digital infrastructures in migration processes, the various forms of solidarity that emerge in these contexts, and the diverse imaginaries that shape and are shaped by these phenomena.
This panel discussion is not just an academic exercise but a thought-provoking exploration of migration realities that directly align with your interests. It offers valuable perspectives for researchers, practitioners, and anyone with a keen interest in the field of migration studies. We invite you to seize this opportunity to engage in a rich intellectual exchange that could significantly enhance your understanding of the field.
We look forward to your participation.
